About the facilitator

I built the practice I wish I'd had.

My path into breathwork didn't start on a retreat brochure. It started on the floor, after I lost nearly everything.

The story

Starting from scratch, twice

My inner work began years earlier, with martial arts and a lifelong habit of reading my way toward understanding. But breathwork found me after I had to leave behind my home, my partner, two dogs, my community, and the career I'd spent four years building — all of it gone in an instant.

I was searching for anything that could relieve the anguish in my chest and the hopelessness underneath it. I signed up for an intensive breathwork journey on a whim, with no expectations. What happened in that room was profound enough that I couldn't keep it to myself. Breathing as a therapeutic practice is a hard sell — I know that firsthand. I haven't stopped making the case for it anyway, because I've watched what expanded awareness can do when someone finally taps into what their unconscious has been holding.

Over time, my relationship to that loss changed. The shame and melancholy that had consumed me gave way to something closer to relief and gratitude. That shift is what sent me into training: a three-part facilitator course with Breathmaster's, immersed in readings, practicum, and a cohort of people doing the same excavation on themselves. My teacher was — and is — genuinely inspiring. But I also saw where I wanted to build further, and I've spent the years since doing exactly that.

What I believe

You can't hold space you haven't sat in yourself

The most important quality a facilitator can bring to someone else's healing is having done their own — sitting with their own grief, exploring their own shadow, on purpose. That's what lets me relate to the people I work with on a real level, not a performed one, and it's why I take real care in building topic-specific journeys rather than running the same script for everyone.

I create space that is inclusive and radically accepting. Come as you are. Leave as someone you're striving to become.

Credentials & approach

How I hold the room

Training

Breathmaster's Certified Facilitator

Three-part facilitator training encompassing breathwork theory, guided practicum, and cohort-based supervised practice.

Framework

Trauma-informed & polyvagal-informed

Sessions are built on nervous system science — polyvagal theory, somatic therapy, and embodiment — not just breath technique.

Style

Functional coach & journey facilitator

I move between functional, everyday breathwork and deeper holotropic-style journey work, depending on what the person or group needs.

Off the mat

How I stay well while holding space for others

Facilitating other people's healing asks something of you. I keep my own cup full through hobbies that have nothing to do with breathwork, time intentionally scheduled with friends, and a body I take care of through movement and food — not as an aesthetic, but as maintenance for the work I do.

My hope for everyone who breathes with me — one-on-one, in a retreat circle, or in a corporate wellness room — is that they leave with a sense of coming home to themselves, and a tool they can return to whenever they need it.
